Zhiping Liu is the founding partner of Liu, Chen & Hoffman LLP (AMBIZLAW), with 15 years of corporate and commercial law experience. He is highly recognized in foreign investment M&A, international contracts, commercial disputes, and EB-5 investor rights. Prior to founding his firm, Mr. Liu practiced at Paul Weiss and Morrison & Foerster — top-tier Wall Street and Silicon Valley law firms — for 7+ years, advising on 100+ corporate transactions totaling over $7 billion.

Notable clients include Citibank (Lehman Brothers bankruptcy claims), Sany Heavy Industry (lawsuit against President Obama; wind farm acquisitions, financing, and commercial disputes in the US), Las Vegas Sands (casino construction mortgage), and Pei Cobb Freed & Partners (architect service contracts). Mr. Liu also worked alongside a former U.S. Attorney General on the legacy issues of a $2+ billion M&A transaction. In 2016, after he led an investment deal to completion, former Pfizer Chairman & CEO Ian Read praised him: "Your Herculean efforts saved the deal."

在EB-5投资人维权领域，柳律师曾代表300多名EB-5投资者与USIF、CMB等基金谈判退出，累计为投资者追回数千万美元投资。其中，代理近200位投资人成功回收全部原始资金50万美金；为70多名投资者利用二投机会取得额外权利，帮助40多名投资者收回原始投资的85%左右；主导多方和解谈判，使120多名投资者在其他律所起诉败诉后收回原始投资的80%左右。

In EB-5 investor advocacy, Mr. Liu has represented 300+ EB-5 investors in fund exit negotiations with USIF, CMB, and other EB-5 funds, recovering tens of millions of dollars. Highlights include helping nearly 200 investors recover their full $500,000 original investment; securing additional rights through re-investment opportunities for 70+ investors (with 40+ recovering approximately 85%); and leading multi-party settlement negotiations that enabled 120+ investors to recover approximately 80% of their investment after other law firms had lost on litigation.

柳律师在NYU及Paul Weiss的6年间，师从西方研究中国法律名师孔杰荣教授。他多次接受中央电视台与凤凰卫视采访，曾就红黄蓝事件和瑞幸咖啡造假事件发表专业法律分析并被各大媒体广泛转载。柳律师曾在清华大学法学院向企业家讲授中资赴美投资并购法律，并长期在纽约律师协会向同行讲授专业课程。

During his 6 years at NYU and Paul Weiss, Mr. Liu studied under Professor Jerome Cohen, a preeminent Western scholar of Chinese law. He has been featured on CCTV and Phoenix TV, and his legal commentary on the RYB Education case and Luckin Coffee fraud was widely covered by major media outlets. Mr. Liu has lectured on cross-border M&A law at Tsinghua University School of Law and regularly teaches professional courses at the New York Bar Association.
